I’m a fun and passionate creative who has served in both online marketing and ministry worlds. I’m 34 years old with a beautiful wife Maritza and 3 kids – Isabella (7), Caleb (5) and Charlotte (2). We will celebrate 11 years of marriage this July.

I was born in Queens, New York, and grew up in the northeast until I was 17. Most of my childhood was spent living in Pennsylvania, and we attended a Mennonite church, believe it or not. Summer of 2005, my family relocated to Keller, TX for my father’s job promotion, and we fell in love with Texas. I graduated from Keller Central in 06, and then went on to pursue ministry school through a non-accredited program associated with our church, called Heartland School of Ministry. I served a Youth Ministry internship in the church of about 1500, under the leadership of Daniel Norris and served as an associate youth pastor there before taking a US Missions role with the ministry Youth Alive (details on that role below). I also self-taught myself digital marketing and graphic design in that season, and when I got married in 2011 and wanted to start a family, I leaned back on that skillset more in order to have some stability and a reduced travel schedule. That lead to a successful stint in online marketing, and while I loved it, I also felt a stirring to step back into ministry in the summer of 2017. I got connected to Chuck Farina through a mutual friend, and we moved on January 2nd, 2018 to Abilene to serve at New Hope.

My years of experience with graphics, event production, video editing, social networking, copywriting and creative marketing solutions came in really handy during our navigation through Covid19 and leveling up our church’s online game!

In March of 2022 I felt led to step down from New Hope, and we currently live in Anna, Texas – about 45 minutes north of Dallas.

Other Experiences

Gateway Church – My wife and I attended Gateway in Southlake when we first got married, and plugged in for 5 years. We got connected in small groups and made some great connections there – the teachings of Robert Morris permanently impacted us, especially the Blessed Life series. We also served as youth leaders for 18 months in the junior high ministry. I still stay connected to Gateway and attend several of their workshops and conferences regularly.

 

Testimony Church – The boss I worked for in digital marketing for AdvoCare (see other work history below) planted a church in Lewisville TX and used my skillset to support much of the marketing, design, A/V and visuals of the church. We attended there for a season, and served as volunteers in tech, and I built weekly video announcements for the church as well. Formerly called Bethel Dallas, it was a part of the Every Nation network of churches under the leadership of Rice Broocks and Steve Murrell, and I actually got to do some cool work with their Nashville office and attend some high level leadership events as well.

Writing Books – I’ve had a strong desire to write since I was a kid, and had a goal that before I was 30 I would write and publish my first book. I did it! 2 weeks before my 30th birthday in 2017, I published Tell it Well, a book on the power of personal testimonies. I also self published another small book on leadership principles based on my experiences working for my entrepreneur / millionaire bosses at the
